Hey we're still here!

We have a new member in the family, Lilo. She's a miniature schnauzer and she's turning out to be a great pup. I had my doubts at first, since she seemed a little withdrawn and antisocial. It's amazing how fast puppies grow up, she's only about 3 months old in the photo and she's already quite a bit bigger. This shot was taken after I attempted to groom her for the first time. She acquired a small "racing stripe" on her back, but nothing serious. As I'm typing this I can hear her and Max playing in the living room, she loves him because he's the perfect size to jump on and tackle. Max is her favorite chew toy.

Hey just an update....My wife still hasn't taken over or donated anything to the family blog. If this keeps up, don't expect these blogs to happen with any regularity or speed.

Things have been busy to say the least, getting ready for Christmas just adds to it a bit, but for the most part everyone is doing really well. We were to have this backyard football game with a bunch of adults in their late 30's to early 50's last weekend, but the rain nipped that idea. Most of us thought since we weren't getting NFL salaries and weren't playing for Notre Dame, we really didn't need to get that wet and muddy (we're wimps). So we all had fun just sitting around eating chili, drinking beer and talking about football instead. Good times.

Linda is really busy and practically working full-time again. Maddie is still doing well in school and with piano, and Max is hell on wheels, as usual. Hope everyone else is well too. We are planning a trip to Hawaii in February - should produce some nice photos and blogs. We'll see if Linda can chip in then......Take care. Eric.

Maddie

Maddie (Madelyn) shown here with her Social Studies Award. She is a great student and has been playing piano for almost 3 years. She loves playing the piano, well sometimes she loves it. It's been difficult to keep her practicing as the lessons get more complex, but she's good (when she's not teasing her brother) and tries very hard.

Max

This is Max (Maxwell), a.k.a. Little "E". The photo is of Max on his first real coaster ride. With the camera over my shoulder, coming down the first big hill, I caught this look on face. His nails were firmly dug into the foam safety bar, but he returned to ride three more times that day at King's Island.

The Blogger Bug

After having the opportunity to view all the other blogs that have been created by other members of our family, we thought that we would give this thing a shot. We have officially been infected by the Blogger Bug. I now have the enviable position of creating entries and posting photos on this site, but I am convinced that once Linda catches on, she will hit the ground running....

So, welcome to our blog...
